Learn Reiki 2 in Chiang Mai
What is a Reiki symbol?
The Reiki symbols are like the buttons on an old car radio – fast ways to access specific frequencies for focused healing tasks. A symbol can be called upon by a Reiki practitioner who has received initiation into it. The symbols significantly amplify the Reiki energy and the skills of the practitioner.
The Reiki symbols were received by Usui during his meditation retreat at Mount Karuma in 1922. Every since, they have been used in healing sessions by Reiki practitioners around the world.
Each Reiki symbol is encoded as both a yantra (visual) and a mantra (auditory). The symbols can be understood as guides that resonate the practitioner with the ability to channel Reiki energy in certain ways.
Students of Reiki to receive initiations into three Reiki symbols that deepen their ability to channel healing for others.
The ability to channel Reiki healing energy is passed from master to student during the Reiki initiations. An initiation (or Reiki attunement as it is otherwise known) is an energetic ritual that has been passed down the lineage of Reiki masters.
During a Reiki initiation, the student sits in meditation for around 20 minutes as the Reiki master channels the initiation. Reiki attunements can be powerful experiences. Many students report seeing clear white light. Experiencing shifts in the emotional and energetic bodies are common as well.
Reiki 2 students receive three initiations throughout the course (one initiation per symbol).
